Ajax chief executive Edwin van der Sar has confirmed that Manchester United are interested in signing Donny van de Beek during this summer’s transfer window.
Real Madrid are also linked with a move for the 23-year-old, but a recent report from the Netherlands claimed that the red Devils are also in for the central midfielder.
Van der Sar, who played for Manchester united between 2005 and 2011, has revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently “showing interest” in Donny van de Beek.
“It’s clear that clubs like Real Madrid and United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek,” Van der Sar told NOS.
Van de Beek played a key role in Ajax winning a league and cup double last season, in addition to starring in their run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The central defender has been in an impressive form during the 2019-20 run , having 10 goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions.
