Nigeria records 675 new COVID-19 cases, toll now 20,919.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 675 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The 675 new cases brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 20,919.

The agency made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Monday.

According to the agency, 288 new cases of the virus were reported in Lagos State, 76 in Oyo State, 56 in Rivers State, 31 in the Delta State, 30 in Ebonyi State, 28 in Gombe State, 20 in Ondo State, 20 in Kaduna State, 20 in Kwara State, 17 in Ogun State, 16 in the FCT.

Others are; 13 in Edo State, 10 in Abia State, nine in Nasarawa State, nine in Imo State, eight in Bayelsa State, eight in Borno State, eight in Katsina State, three in Sokoto State, three in Bauchi State, and two in Plateau State.

So far, as of 22nd June, there were 20,919 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria; 7,109 discharged, with 525 deaths.
