Ondo nurses protest against inadequate PPE in govt hospitals.

Nurses working in government hospitals in Ondo State on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest rally to call attention to lack of adequate Personal Protective Equipment for nurses in government hospitals.

During the rally, the nurses displayed placards with different messages to protest against lack of proactive steps by the government to prevent and contain COVID-19 spread among nurses.

They reported that there was a positive COVID-19 case in one of the hospitals in the state on Friday.

They lamented that since the COVID-19 case was confirmed, the Ondo State Government and the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control have failed to take the necessary steps to halt further spread of the disease.
