Premier League top four for Champions League, Europa League.

The battle for European places promises to be one of the most intriguing storylines when the Premier League returns on Wednesday, with a host of clubs hoping to push for the top four.

Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester City look to have a top-four spot wrapped up, although Man City’s European ban and subsequent appeal leaves a question mark over which positions will be worth what.

As things stand Manchester United would benefit from their local rivals’ ban courtesy of sitting in fifth place, three points behind Chelsea, but Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are all in the mix too.
