Sokoto Govt confirms 10 new cases of coronavirus, discharges 3 patients

Sokoto State Government has confirmed that ten new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the State, with three more patients discharged after showing full recovery from the virus.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, had on Sunday confirmed 248 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country.

Out of the 248 new cases confirmed, ten were recorded in Sokoto.

Confirming the new cases, the Sokoto State Ministry of Health, in a tweet via its Twitter account on Monday, also announced that three more patients have been discharged after showing full recovery.

The tweet read “COVID19 Update as at Sunday 10th May, 2020.

“Sokoto recorded ten New cases, three Discharges and two deaths.

“Total Samples collected – 411.

“Total number of confirmed cases- 106.

“Total number of Active Cases – 81.

“13 patients have been Discharged with 12 deaths recorded.

“Residents are advised to stay home, stay safe and observe social distancing.”
